Q: What is ColumbiaCare Services?

A: ColumbiaCare Services (CCS) formerly Oregon Regional Behavioral Services, is a Oregon private not-for-profit organization that provides short and long term residential care, short term crisis care and long term or transistional apartments and other types of mental health care to Oregon and Idaho residents.

A: Yes, our facilities are private homes for our residents but you may visit by prior arrangement with the local facility Administrator.

Q: How do I get admitted to a ColumbiaCare Services residential facility?

A: Admission is typically through the local or regional County mental health agency or the Mental Health Department of the State of Oregon or the State of Idaho.  Contact the local facility Administrator or the ColumbiaCare Services Administrative Office for information.

Q: How do I find out if a friend or relative is a resident at a ColumbiaCare Services residential facility?

A: State and Federal law requires confidentiality of residents without written permission in advance.  Please contact your local county mental health agency or the facility administrator for assistance.

A: Federal and State law requires confidentiality without written permission of our residents.  We will make every effort to pass along a message.  Contact the local facility administrator for more assistance.

A: 

The cost varies depending on the facility and the severity of the psychiatric condition, but it is generally between 1/4 and 1/3 the cost of psychiatric hospitalization.
